Members of the INPHOMIR consortium recently participated in SPIE Photonics West — one of the most prominent international conferences and exhibitions in the field of photonics — held in San Francisco from 17 to 22 January 2026.
GEM Elettronica and Technical University of Munich (TUM) represented INPHOMIR at the event, highlighting the project’s progress and contributions to advanced photonic technologies. The presence at Photonics West offered an excellent opportunity to showcase the latest research developments and engage with the global photonics community, including industry stakeholders, academic researchers, and technology partners.
In addition to formal presentations, INPHOMIR partners took the opportunity to promote the project through networking and informal exchanges, disseminating project materials and engaging in discussions around the integration of photonic building blocks into next-generation navigation and sensing systems.
Participation in SPIE Photonics West aligns with the project’s dissemination strategy and its commitment to maintaining a strong presence in key scientific and industrial forums. It also responds to recommendations by the European Commission to increase the visibility of project results and strengthen engagement with sector-specific communities.
