The video recording of the second INPHOMIR project webinar, held on 17 April 2026, is now available on the INPHOMIR website!
The webinar focused on “Integrated photonics as a key enabling technology for next-generation sensing and navigation systems”, highlighting how photonic integrated circuits (PICs) are transforming a wide range of applications, from space systems to autonomous platforms. By integrating multiple optical functions on a single chip, PICs enable compact, highly sensitive and energy‑efficient solutions for advanced sensing and navigation technologies.
During the event, speakers presented recent advances in indium phosphide (InP) integrated photonics, showcasing how this technology supports the development of innovative photonic building blocks operating at both near- and mid‑infrared wavelengths. Concrete examples from the INPHOMIR project illustrated progress in monolithic integration, photonic device development and novel sensing architectures.
The webinar also explored key application areas such as optical gyroscopes and advanced sensing technologies, demonstrating the strong potential of InP-based photonic integration for next-generation systems.
The full video recording is now accessible online for all those who were unable to attend the live event or wish to revisit the presentations and discussions.
